Sigma Symbol in Greek Alphabet

Sigma (uppercase Σ, lowercase σ) is the 18th letter of the Modern Greek alphabet. In Gematria it has the value of 200. The alternative form of sigma (ς) must be used in word-final position. The Greek letter sigma was derived from the Phoenician letter šīn, meaning tooth. The small letter sigma (σ) is used to represent standard deviation in math and statistics.
